Andrew is an experienced financial executive, entrepreneur, principal investor, and officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Andrew, as Co-Founder and Co-Head of Advisory at Agentis Capital, has advised on more than $20 billion of completed acquisition, financing, and project development transactions across a wide range of sectors, from infrastructure to technology and industrials. Andrew has led many of Agentis Capital's 18 principal investments, including complex restructuring and technology transactions, where he has taken extensive operational roles. Andrew has been an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces for 15 years, where he is currently a Major.
Mr. Benne is currently the General Manager of Bevo Farms Ltd., the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary. Leo Benne gained advanced knowledge of modern horticultural methods at Rijks Middlebare Tuinbouwscholl in Holland. With experience in the application of computer technology to the production of healthy, high-yield plants, he has been a key figure in the development of Bevo Agro. Leo Benne is a hands on executive, overseeing every stage of the company's operations, from planting to shipping. Leo Benne has been with Bevo for 10 years.
Mike comes with extensive experience in senior management positions including CFO in various public and private companies. He brings strong corporate finance, treasury, finance administration, and business strategy experience, most recently providing management advisory services to various companies (including as interim CFO at a BC greenhouse where he initiated a cannabis growing relationship with a respected Canadian cannabis company.) Prior, he reported to the CEO of global fund manager Lionhart Canada Limited in Toronto. In his career Mike has worked as Treasurer for Bell Canada in Montreal and played a key role on the financial risk advisory team at KPMG.
Mr. McGinty has extensive experience in large-scale coordination and planning. Prior to this role, Mike served as the Head of Risk and Security for UBC Okanagan. He was also a post-graduate tutor in leadership and planning for senior government and military staff from Canada and over 25 allied nations worldwide. Mike was a senior officer in the British Army and served widely overseas, including in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he was responsible for more than 1,000 people with $2bn in capital assets. Mike remains an active member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Natasha has over 15 years experience as a health and nutrition researcher, speaker and educator. She has a PhD in Experimental Medicine from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Science degree, and a Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in Human Nutritional Sciences from the University of Manitoba. She has published seven first author peer-reviewed publications, two first author reviews, and co-authored eight peer-reviewed publications. Natasha is also cofounder of Ryz Rémi Skincare & Therapeutics, and she designs topical products for pain and inflammatory conditions as well as beauty.
Karen has been involved in the regulated cannabis industry since its inception and brings experience and knowledge to all aspects of the industry from seed to sale. She has expertise in quality assurance, facility management, production and sales, as well as research and evaluation. Karen holds Masters degrees in Epidemiology and Public Administration as well as a Project Management Certification. Prior to working in the regulated cannabis industry, she was on faculty at Queen's University conducting research and teaching.
David has spent more than 15 years working with incubation and entry stage brands. He has a proven track record of helping companies capture market share and develop their brands from zero to mass market. He has also worked closely with large multi-chain accounts in the retail and consumer packaged goods industries.
Dr. Zeid Mohamedali, MD, PhD, FRCSC, Clinical Associate Professor, leads the Zenabis medical team, with over 20 years of experience in medical research and clinical practice, specializing in pain management, oncology, and urological disease. He is a recipient of numerous awards and honours and has over 8 years of experience with medical cannabis pain management. He is an active clinician with a large practice of patients dealing with chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, and other ailments. Dr. Zeid currently holds a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of British Columbia.
